It’s been lovely to get such positive feedback from clients and followers about my time producing, directing and writing CBBC presentation for BBC1, BBC2 and the CBBC Channel.
It was a great experience to work with a hugely talented team, many of whom have gone on to achieve impressive feats in the years that followed.
People have asked me if there’s an outstanding memory from that period. For me, it must be the time we took Hacker T Dog to Wimbledon (his first visit) in order to search out his idol Sue Barker. This amazing day led to Hacker singing the now legendary Sue Barker song. Now, I’m no lyricist, but I doubt the likes of Paul McCartney or Bernie Taupin could compete with
‘Sue Barker, Sue Barker, you’re better than a permanent marker…’
